Summer Essentials By.LucyHilda

Hello and welcome back to my blog, today I'm sharing my essentials for this summer. The countdown is now on for my holiday as when your reading this it will be less than a week till I'm chilling on a beach. I wanted to share with you all my essentials that I will be using this summer from makeup to fashion. Enjoy.

* Summer uploads: I will be posting every wednesday and sunday from 31st July, each post will be live at the usual time of 5pm GMT*

When it comes to summer there is usually some items that I cant live without whether I'm having a chilled day at home or lounging on a beach in Spain.

Makeup is an essential for summer and when I am  packing my makeup bag for  my holiday you need to be careful as to what comes and what stays. I find that less is more, I wont be taking loads of makeup as I probably won't end up wearing it most days. However, I will be taking a minimal coverage  foundation as I wont need a lot of coverage as I hope to develop a tan within the first few days. With the foundation it must have SPF 15 as even on a evening when I plan on wearing that foundation the sun will still be out and I don't want to get sun burnt.

I love the bronzed glow makeup look therefore my trusty Hoola Bronzer will be coming along too, for the first few days of my holiday when my tan isn't really showing and I'm more burnt then tanned. For lipstick I'm taking a simple nude which will be either Mac Cream cup or Velvet Teddy.

For perfume I want something fresh therefore I'm choosing Holister Sliver Sand Beach mist which is one of my all time favourites.

Tech equipment is a must for summer as I'm usually taking pictures of sunsets, food or a shameless selfie. My Canon camera and my Iphone never leaves my hand as I'm all about capturing every moment on holiday so I can look back on them in the future.

Sunglasses are my favourite accessory in summer and I end up wearing them none stop. These ones are from New Look.
Summer fashion is my favourite thing, I love wearing high waisted shorts and a simple top. On holiday I usually live in shorts and bikini's for the whole two weeks or when I'm not on the beach I'm usually wearing a simple summer dress with sandals. I love getting dressed up on holiday and wearing all my new clothes, I plan on doing a outfit post from my holiday which will out later this month.

Choosing what bag to take on holiday is usually a struggle, I don't take any of my Louis Vuitton's simply I don't want them getting damaged or stolen on holiday therefore I just take this brown cross body bag from Topshop. I brought this last year and wore it nearly everyday in summer. It is the perfect size, its not too small so it can fit in your essentials. On holiday I don't need to carry a lot so this bag is the perfect size.

When I'm on the beach from sunrise to sunset I need something to do, I take my holiday to relax and I switch off my phone and pick up a good book. I'm a massive book worm and going on holiday is the perfect excuse to get a good book and binge read it. I can usually read about four books in the two weeks in between swimming and dining out as I swear I do other things on holiday.

Look out for my holiday posts on Instagram and for the blogpost of my adventures.

Thank you and I will see you soon.
