Edinburgh weekend

The main purpose of this trip to Edinburgh was for the Christmas market, we take the trip annually mostly as the market makes us feel super festive.

Our day started at six thirty am in our car as we drove to Edinburgh, it took around two hours until we arrived in beautiful Edinburgh. We started the day by walking up to the castle, the weather was brilliant and the sun came out thank goodness.

Apart from the castle and the beautiful buildings my favourite thing about visiting Edinburgh is going shopping, they a have Louis Vuitton which of course I went into to have a look at the new season pieces.

Every building in Edinburgh just looks so photogenic, the architecture

The Christmas market was stunning and we had such a wonderful time looking around all the stalls.

Laying Up And Bold Colour By.LucyHIlda

I think its officially winter and I'm able to say that I'm more than excited that we are in November. This time of year my wardrobe is filled with dark colours and cable knit jumper. But for today's look I wanted to add abit of colour by using this mustard jumper from H&M, the jumper it self is quite cropped but when paired with high waist jeans its perfect for this time of year. I added on a chunky scarf and the outfit was stylish but would still keep you warm.

Its an outfit you can just quickly put together as there isn't many elements really, the pieces I class as staples and ones that everyone should have in their wardrobe.

Lucy's Winter Staples:
- Cable Knit Jumpers
- Black High-waisted Jeans
- Black Boots
- Chunky Scarf
- Louis Vuitton Alma

A simple outfit like this I tend to lean towards during winter, my wardrobe becomes filled with chunky jumpers that I wear with my beloved Joni jeans from Topshop.
New Look and H&M have some really nice jumpers in at the moment and I have picked up a few as they are so easy to wear.

Shop the look:

- Jumper: H&M
- Jacket: Miss Selfridges
- Scarf: H&M
- Jeans: Topshop

Bag: Louis Vuitton

Exploring the city: Leed

Now I love where I live but there is nothing better than hopping on a train to a city: today's chose was Leeds, a favourite of mine due to the fact that all the best shops are in one place. Yesterday I spent the day in Leeds with my parents, we spent the day shopping and stopped for a few non-alcoholic  cocktails along the way.

Before we left I had a quick photoshoot outside whilst we waited for our taxi. I love new clothes and when you put that one outfit on and feel fantastic: well this is that outfit for me. I put it on and immediately felt good about myself.

Shop the look:
Jumper: Topshop
Jacket: Miss Selfridge
Trousers: Mango
Bag: Louis Vuitton
Boots: Next

Obviously I had to go into Louis Vuitton, I went in looking for the  perfumes but as usual they are sold out everywhere but I did manage to get my leather looked at on my bag ( long story short the denim ran on  my leather)

When your shopping for hours you need that refreshment break, we headed the the Alchemist bar for a mocktail I went for the strawberry Mojito which is my favourite.

I picked up some new clothing items which I will be featuring in coming blogposts.

Autumn Style By.LucyHilda

This Saturday I spent the morning taking some pictures to put on my Instagram but I realised that they could be included into a blogpost as there was quite a few of them. In this post I have chose some of my favourites.
For me autumn is my favourite time of the year not only for the dark nights and fallen leaves but the fact that fashion in this season is just incredible. its the season of jumpers, boots and layering up,the season where I'm found outside surrounded my fallen leaves for that perfect Instagram.
Shop the look:

Shirt- http://www.topshop.com/?geoip=home
Jeans- http://www.topshop.com/?geoip=home
Boots- http://www.newlook.com/shop/shoe-gallery/view-all-boots/black-leather-look-chelsea-boots_387111001
Bag- http://uk.louisvuitton.com/eng-gb/products/alma-bb-monogram-000539
Autumn is just so amazing not only are the days shorter but the fashion stands out as a massive reason to why I class it as my favourite season of all.

I love the trend of layering up, the simplicity of it makes it easy to create an outfit that is not only comfortable to stylish.

The perfect outfit for me is either a knitted jumper paired with a denim skirt but I'm also found wearing my beloved Topshop Joni Jeans and a denim shirt. In my wardrobe I do obsess over Topshop Joni jeans and do have them in every colour sold but in this season I'm always grabbing for the black pair. They are the perfect jeans because they are high waisted and super comfortable and are a stable for my wardrobe.

In my wardrobe I have realised that I own more boots than anyone really needs, whether they are Chelsea boots or UGG's. When I'm going for a more stylish look I always grab for my black Chelsea boots but if I'm going casual I will be wearing my UGG boots. UGG's are a pair of shoes that I've had in my wardrobe since as long as I can remember, they may not be the most fashionable pair of shoes but they are guarantied to keep you feet warm and comfortable.

I"m all about the perfect handbag and I think that the perfect one must be one that can be worn in every season. I know that my Louis Vuitton Alma BB in monogram is so versatile and goes with any outfit in any season. I do recommend investing in a handbag that you can wear all year round.

Style Icon: Kylie Jenner | NewYork Fashion Week 2016

This past week its been NewYork Fashion Week and I've been following all the shows and seeing the new couture straight off the catwalk. Not only have I been loving the couture from the runway shows but I've been obsessed with the celebrity looks especially Kylie Jenner. Kylie's outfits are always amazing but her stylist has done a great job at picking the best looks for fashion week.

* disclaimer: I do not own any of these pictures, they have been taking from Instagram @kyliejenner *

The first look I want to mention is this short pink dress straight from the Balmain runway for Winter '16.

The dress was shown in the Balmain show the previous day but I think  it looked better on Kylie than the actually model. On the runway it was worn with thigh high boots but Kylie wore it with clear heels.

Kylie wore it to the BAZAARicons party which she attended along with sister Kendall.

She looked flawless, the dress looks amazing with her platinum blonde hair which not everyone can get away with but Kylie rocks it.

The next look is by OffWhite and its from their pre-fall 16 collection. She paired the white jumpsuit with a patterned coat which is also from OffWhite. Obviously she had her signature big sunglasses on. Overall I loved the look, she totally rocked it.

The next outfit I wanted to mention is this casual denim look. I love the small detailing on the skirt it matches the bomber styled jacket. She showed the personalised jacket on her Snapchat a few days ago. She paired the denim skirt with a white long sleeved top with some writing on. I like the simplicity of this outfit as a lot of her looks for fashion week were very fancy but she went for something simple yet stylish.

Her hair and makeup looked flawless, she had her hair put back in a messy bun.

The next look is probably my favourite from fashion week. I love the colour of her dress and the style suits Kylie very well. She paired the dress with a pair of white heels.

If you follow her on Snapchat you know this evening she got stuck in a elevator with Kendall Jenner and Hailey baldwin but somehow she managed to get out and face the camera looking amazing. I'm not sure I would look that great if I had been stuck in a elevator but somehow Kylie did it.

Her hair was put back into a high pony and her signature makeup look using her KyShadows.

The last look I want to mention is another favourite of mine. Kylie rocked this beautiful Balmain dress and denim jacket. The sparkly dress was paired with a denim jacket which make the outfit more casual and something suitable for a fashion week show.

Again she wore her hair tied back in bun and her perfectly contoured makeup which had a been expertly done.

Thank you for reading and I hope you have enjoyed my first post about fashion week, more coming soon.

Love,
          Lucy

Hello Autumn By.LucyHilda

So its officially autumn and that means that its finally acceptable to get out my autumn clothes, and that is just what I am doing. As much as I love summer there is nothing better than getting out a jumper and a pair of chelsea boots.

Over the past few weeks as the autumn/winter clothes have been going into stores I've been picking up a few items including this jumper in the pictures below. The jumper isn't too thick but wearing it with a jacket makes it suitable for the changing climate. The jumper I picked up from H&M who are killing it with their clothing at the moment, I never usually buy clothes from H&M but I've picked up a few things over the last few weeks which I will show you in future posts.

The denim shirt I bought from Topshop at the beginning of the year and I wore it so much. When you wear it with tights and a jumper you can make it suitable for the colder climate. Plus the shirt is super short therefore it does need the tights otherwise I wouldn't be wearing it out.

As the UK is freezing and wearing a thin jumper on its own will most probably result in getting a cold therefore you need to put a jacket on but you don't want to put a massive winter coat and cover the jumper. Consequently you need something fashionable but something to keep you warm therefore I pair a simple leather jacket which is from Miss Selfridge. In the picture I haven't got shoes on but with outfit I wear my black Chelsea boots which are from Next, they are really comfortable which is important if your wearing them all day.

Please let me know what you thought about this post. I plan on posting more outfit posts like this with it being autumn/ winter.
See you next time.

Tuesday 16th August - A Day In Manchester By.Lucy.Hilda

This passed Tuesday I visited Manchester for a day of shopping with my bestfriend Georgia we had a wonderful day and I wanted to share with you some of the highlights.

We started off the day outside of Louis Vuitton, the tradition continued as I persuaded  Georgia to get in the traditional picture outside the store. We both looked really happy and we went inside and browsed at all the bags. The bag I wanted to see the most was the Twist MM Epi Leather as I've been crushing on the bag a lot since it launched last year. The bag was beautiful but in my opinion its abit pricey for the size of the bag.

Inside Selfridges ground floor we went inside all the designer handbag boutiques: Gucci,Prada, Hermés and then into Chanel.

On the top of my handbag wish-list has been the medium Chanel Boy in black Caviar leather in gold hardware and I wanted to go in Chanel and see it in real life. In March I went to Chanel but I did see the Chanel boy but not in the specific leather and hardware.
The sales associate was lovely and I managed to have a real conversation with her which was nice because usually they are really rude and not helpful. The bag was so beautiful but very expensive however any Chanel bag is an investment because each year their bags are going up by around 800-1000 pound therefore if you came to sell it you would definitely sell it for more than what you bought it for.

At the moment I am loving the window displays Louis Vuitton are doing, the colour of the planets are fitting in with the bright coloured leather of the bags. Louis Vuitton are becoming more modern each season with their bright colours and prints, I do think the creative director Nicolas Ghesquière is doing a great job at making the brand more modern and taking a spin on the well established Monogram print.

We went up to the next floor in Selfridges which is shoe heaven and our first stop was Christain Louboutin

and either me or Georgia had actually tried a pair one so we both went crazy and tried loads on.
My favourite was the So Kate's in black in the 100mm heel, they are the smallest heel size which is perfect for me because being quite tall I don't really need that much extra height.
We had a lovely sales associate who brought out loads of shoes for us to try and knew a fair amount of information about the shoes which was good.

Next we went up to the clothing floor and Georgia hunted down the Balmain section and she picked up a few items and a sales associate took us to the personal shopper fitting rooms which were huge and were better than the regular ones.

Georgia tried on the famous blazer, dress and two skirts however neither us have over one thousand pound to spend on a blazer so we causally leave the fitting room and tell the lady " we will think about it" which in our language means " we cant afford it but just wanted to try in on for a Instagram" but she doesn't need to know the truth.

Georgia looked stunning in the blazer but its very rare that she doesn't look nice in something(she didn't pay me to say that).

The rest of the day we did more shopping in the main shopping centre and I managed to pick up some new clothes for autumn/winter from H&M but I will show you them in blogpost soon.

I hope you enjoyed this post and I will write another post soon.

love,
        Lucy

Desk Inspiration By.LucyHilda

I love spending hours scrolling through Pinterest finding new ways to decorate my desk and other parts of my room. After changing up my desk a lot over the past few months, I am finally happy with the way it look.

So I wanted to share with you what is on my desk and this may give you some inspiration on how to change up your desk.

To start off the biggest thing on my desk is my Apple IMac which takes up the majority of the space on my desk. It is the most important thing because its how I write my posts and watch TV. I'm always changing up the background but currently its this Chanel picture which I found on Tumblr.
To go with the screen I have my keyboard along with mouse, I don't actually like mouse mats because I cant find one to match my room therefore I use a notebook.

I love writing with colourful pens therefore you can usually find them on my desk or placed in a pot, this just adds a bit of colour to a plain desk. These pots are great to keep pens in and other items you have probably seen them before because they are in every corner of my room but they are from Ikea.

I like to keep some hard back fashion and beauty books on my desk. One of my new favourites is my fashion Book which is a fashion dictionary filled with every designer brand in the world its a great coffee table book for anyone obsessed with fashion. You can find most of these books on Amazon or in other bookstores.

Thanks for reading and I will see you very soon.

Denim Diaries - Heels and Jeans By.Lucyhilda

We all want to look casual but sometimes we still want to look chic which means getting out them heels and rocking them. You could be popping to the supermarket or grabbing brunch with friends but adding a pair of simple heels can transform a simple outfit to one suitable for a runway show.
On a sunday no one wants to be dressing up thats why you grab your denim jeans and a simple tee paired with some sneakers but now you can have that casual outfit and still look like you are making the effort by adding heels.

A trend that we have seen this spring/summer was jeans and heels and I love the look therefore I'm putting my spin on it.

The outfit is so simple but it looks so chic.To make the outfit even better grab your favourite handbag  and add some jewerally. I added my Pandora bracelet which looks stunning paired with my watch.

Shop my outfit
